Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you’ve ever wanted to purchase a robot vacuum, now is the time. CNET’s top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%..
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that is equipped with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba j7+, iRobot’s most advanced buy robot vacuum cleaner to date is the Roomba J7+. Its most notable innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection system. It makes use of AI to recognize objects such as charging cords and shoes. It’s the first robot to send you a picture of an object that it encounters, meaning you can instruct the robot to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop that we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills quickly leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn’t vacuum in areas that you don’t want. It’s also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it by speaking to it.
The design is also better than the other models. It has an elegant, top piece that looks like a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. And the Clean Base Automated Dirt Disposal System self-empties and is ideal to speed up cleaning.
In our tests, the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. And all of this without getting tangled up in our pet’s hair shed.
While it’s not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum, and it’s not able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still a solid option for those who require both mopping and a vac in their home. It’s not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.
While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use, we’ve found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to tell if they are working until you see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you’re looking for a vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the best robot cleaner option is probably hybrid. This category of bots typically has a built-in water tank that allows them to mop and vacuum your home simultaneously. These bots also have many additional features, including smart mapping, small object avoidance, and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They’re costly at retail, but usually come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.
Roborock makes several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn’t fail to impress. This is their least expensive auto-empty model, and while it’s not equipped with some of the premium features you’ll find on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it’s a great choice if you’re willing to sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it an ideal option for homes with a lot of furniture. It’s also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The technology for navigation in the Q5+ is fantastic as well, with only a few missed corners and on walls.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device, or via the Roborock App. With the app you can begin and stop cleanings, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and adjust your home map or change the labels of rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make the robot simple to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it’s installed emptying the bin can be accomplished with relative ease. It also has a large LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn’t a necessary feature for everyone however it can help you keep the track of your cheap robot vacuum‘s maintenance intervals effortlessly.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated, well-rounded vacuum and mop. It’s capable of mopping and vacuuming. Its design is among the Best Auto Vacuum in the industry however, it’s costly.
It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and is easily hidden when not in use. But the station’s biggest selling factor is its ability to automate various tasks and functions that most other robots will leave to you. It can keep clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require this.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive and efficient, too. It’s one of the few robovacs I’ve tested that do an excellent job of collecting debris from plain floors, and is not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robovacs. This means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas of the home. It’s also not able to climb stairs like other competitors and doesn’t come with a dock to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for an automated vacuum that can do everything.
If you’re looking to save money, or just don’t care about the limitations of this robot, there are plenty of alternatives available, including a lot of eufy models for significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive however it comes with more features, including stair climbing and a full-function Dock, with an improved overall experience when vacuuming on floors that are unfinished carpets, low-pile carpets and even high-pile ones.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy is an Anker company that has a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It’s easy to set it up, simply snap on one of the side brush and turn it on, then plug in your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be located close to an outlet that has enough space to move.
The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is less ostentatious in comparison to other models. It has a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto cleaning robot price start/pause (which scrubs a spot in a spiral pattern for two minutes), Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The way the G30 cleans is what sets it apart from other models. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters, remembering what it’s already cleaned and the areas it’s not able to access. When it’s time to recharge, it automatically returns to its base and resumes cleaning from where it started.
The elegant G30 isn’t without faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better constructed, has lower recurring costs, is charged more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn’t require to be emptied as frequently and comes with an array of boundaries to ensure it isn’t in certain areas. The G30 is, however, is more affordable and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn’t need to be emptied as often and it’s less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
